Dick Wood’s business career has involved working with seniors and their associated needs since 1972. For the last fourteen years, he has been involved with providing consultation and guidance in the mortgage industry. The last three years has been focused on reverse mortgages. Dick was raised in the northeast and graduated from The University of Massachusetts in 1968. Upon graduation, at the height of the Viet Nam War, he volunteered for and was commissioned in the United States Marine Corps. He led an infantry platoon, received multiple medals including the Bronze Star with Combat V for service in 1969.
In 1975, Dick moved to the Atlanta area and currently lives in Cherokee County. He has been married to his wife, Peggy, for thirty-five years. They have four children and two grandchildren. He continues to be active in his community where he enjoys a small farm with horses, dogs and cats.
Dick has an understanding of issues relating to seniors and the complexities associated with getting older. Many of these financial challenges are being addressed by the reverse mortgage program. It provides a significant pathway for those who want to achieve their secure retirement goals.
